Blue Whale Materials is an American recycling company working toward a greener and more sustainable global battery supply chain. It is building a lithium-ion battery recycling facility, producing an ethically sourced stream of cobalt, nickel, manganese, and lithium in the first stage of a closed-loop solution for lithium-ion battery manufacturers.

We are seeking a talented and motivated person to join us, as Blue Whale Materials grows internationally and commercializes state-of-the-art technology.

Job Summary:

The Corporate Development Associate is responsible for key developmental and operational duties as Blue Whale Materials is establishing its corporate office and building out its recycling facilities across the nation. The Associate will perform and oversee operational tasks related to the BWM leadership team and for the corporate office. This includes preparing reports and memorandums, managing and maintaining corporate calendar, overseeing and assisting in corporate development strategy meetings and initiatives, performing some HR related duties, and more. The Associate will also facilitate internal communications between different departments to coordinate, update and inform on achievements, plans, issues, events, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee and assist in strategy and corporate development meetings

• Conduct research on strategies and corporate development

• Implement development and operational initiatives and projects as needed

• Generate reports on initiative and project status and update the company management on their progress

• Communicate corporate objectives and strategy to all departments

• Communicate with different departments on issues requiring coordination and alignment, especially between BWM’s corporate headquarter and plant facilities

• Cultivate positive and productive corporate culture by coordinating events, initiatives, and training

• Oversee and coordinate for timely submittal of all corporate reports and assist in maintaining databases

• Provide direct administrative support to all members of the BWM leadership team

• Prepare corporate and operation reports, memorandums, and meeting minutes

• Maintain work schedules and calendars for the leadership team

• Arrange travel accommodations for required business trips in an economical and timely fashion, including air fare, hotel bookings, car rentals, etc.

• Coordinate logistics of executive team programs including meetings, seminars, workshops, special projects, and events

• Review all documents, reports and correspondence prepared for executive signatures for format, content, grammar, and spelling and make edits as necessary

• Assist leadership team in talent recruitment

• Troubleshoot and/or escalate office administration issues

• Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

• Self-starter and a team player able to deliver high quality output in a fast evolving and dynamic operations environment

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Business Administration, or relevant discipline, required

• Minimum 5 years of direct or related work experience

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project

• Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team

• Able to maintain filing systems, databases, and minutes management

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Meticulous records maintenance skills

• Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail is a must

• Proven organizational and time management skills
